Larry A. Renner, CPA

Certified Public Accountant

Larry has extensive experience in both accounting and tax services and business valuation and litigation. He specializes in providing accounting and tax services to a wide range of businesses, including physicians, construction, real estate, and service businesses. He also provides tax preparation and planning services for individuals. Larry has qualified as an expert witness and provides testimony in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of West Virginia. He also lectures on the subject of litigation support and business valuation. Larry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, Medical Group Management Association, and Physicians Viewpoint Network. He is a past committee member of the VSCPA Litigation Support Committee and has been recognized as a “Super CPA” in the Business Valuation/Litigation Services category. Larry practices in Virginia and West Virginia.

G. Scott Wilfong, CPA

Partner and Certified Public Accountant

Scott is a Winchester native and has been involved in public accounting since 1977, the year which he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. Since then he has been involved in offering professional services for tax, accounting and auditing services for both individuals and businesses in a wide range of industries and for personal needs. Real estate, construction, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, not for profit organizations and personal service businesses comprise major areas of Scott’s professional involvement at Bruce, Renner & Wilfong, PLC.
Scott is a member of various national and state professional organizations and is licensed to practice in Maryland and Virginia.

Lisa T. McCoig, CPA

Certified Public Accountant

Lisa is a senior manager who joined the firm in 1994. She provides accounting and tax services for a variety of business and individual clients, with specialization in physician practices, real estate, small to mid-size businesses, qualified retirement plans, trusts, and estates. She also provides business valuation services. Lisa received her AB in History from the College of William and Mary and her Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and has been recognized as a “Super CPA” in the Estate Planning and Trust category.

Troy L. Hensley, CPA

Certified Public Accountant

Troy joined the firm in 1999. He specializes in providing accounting and tax services to small to mid-size businesses, including physicians, service businesses, construction, and real estate activities. He also provides tax preparation and planning services for individuals. Troy received his BS in Accounting and BS in Horticulture from Virginia Tech. He is a member of the AICPA and VSCPA, and was recently named a ‘Super CPA’ in the category of Individual Tax by Virginia Business magazine.

Roy L. Emmons II, CPA

Roy joined the firm in 2000. He provides accounting, tax planning and tax services for a variety of businesses and individual clients, specializing in service businesses, construction and real estate activities. He is the treasurer for The Top of Virginia Builders Association, which serves the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Roy is a graduate of Clarke County High School and received his BA in Business Administration from Shenandoah University in 2000. Roy has been recognized as a “Super CPA” in the young CPA category.

Stacey joined the firm in 2004. She has a background in both public accounting and industry. She specializes in accounting and tax preparation for businesses, individuals and qualified retirement plans. She also assists clients with Peachtree and QuickBooks accounting. Stacey received her AAS in Business Administration from Lord Fairfax Community College and her BBA in Accounting from Shenandoah University. Dick joined the firm in 2005. He has an extensive background in both public accounting and industry. He specializes in tax services for corporations, partnerships, individuals, fiduciary, and estates. Dick received an Associate of Arts degree from Hagerstown Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and economics from Shepherd University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Shenandoah University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
